Summer is drifting to a close,
the sun isn't so warm;
the breeze is a little snippier;
the leaves are a bit more delicate.
Flip-flops are pushed to the side, and boots have made their way back onto the streets. Pumpkin spice and chocolate chips are in everything, making me the most pleasantly enchanted girl in the world.
Fall is my favorite time of the year, and I'm looking forward to every blissful moment of Autumn 2016, (meaning you'll get a post on that soon!) but I'm learning to be thankful for every moment... even if it is hot and muggy and full of bugs and sunburn and just... HOT. But they are moments, and ones to be cherished, so today I'll say my adieus to summer and all that it held for me this year.
My summer was one of bosom friends, magnificent skies, and tea parties. Watercolor greeting cards, giggly little girls, sandy feet, lollypops, and French press coffee.
My summer was one of milkshake outings, polaroid photos, late night conversations, campfires, and black & white movies.
I didn't read much, and I didn't even leave home that often. But summer held a lot of sweet little things that made the season delectably sweet.
(Tune is next summer to hear me say farewell to braces! YAYY!!!!) ;-P
